Abstract
Scientific and technological innovations offer countless elements to analyze the current knowledge landscape, where communication and information sharing are crucial elements. The essay explores in critical terms issues related to the communication of science in the digital era in human reproduction and assisted reproductive technology, at the intersection of society, politics, and science. Surrogate maternity, umbilical cord blood donation, social egg freezing and the so-called 'fertility day' represent case studies where communication dynamics seem to play a key role in public awareness.
