Abstract
In the field of digital media, graphic journalism is a successful genre that combines the techniques of illustration and comics with the languages of information. This article analyzes the relationship between journalism and illustrated images, trying to understand the reasons behind a phenomenon that reshapes journalistic intermediation. Beside a brief historical reconstruction of the genre, our analysis focuses on three significant authors of graphic reportage (the Maltese naturalized American Joe Sacco, the Italian Igor Tuveri and the Canadian Guy Delisle), whose works help us to read the ongoing change between the individual and information.
