Abstract
Local information has been reshaped by social, cultural and technological processes. Sports journalism was confronted with a social configuration that regulates the interactions between media, sports and sponsors. Local sports information places itself at the convergence of these two scenarios. The paper investigates a segment of local sports information, related to a single football club (Napoli), in order to analyze characteristics of the information offer and economic models; cultural authority; interaction with local actors; transmedia sports fandom. A mixed method approach has been adopted, based on media content analysis and hermeneutic interviews.
