Abstract

The development of the Web and the continuing increase in the computing power of our devices – and the conseguent quickness of our daily experience – are deeply changing the way we see, hear, read and memorize. Thus, the meaning we can have through our senses – and the shape of our minds modeled by reading, by words – is changing: we are moving toward a «poorness», a decrease in complexity and focus on. «However, we think that a «Landscape Architect», who is able to deal with a complex issue, acts – even with continuing education about reading, seeing, hearing – on: (a) «inspiration» of the senses and ideas: which occurs in the processing of experiences, of course including reading and listening»; (b) «expiration»: in terms of the ability to express and narrate one's personal elaboration aimed at a specific case-project. Thus, if we wanted to define the profile of the «Good Landscape Designer» today, we could say that he uses – and maintains in excellent efficiency also thanks to focused and slow reading – listening and memory as indispensable tools for his projects
