Well Impact. A contribution from the Third Sector to cultural and health policies

Download

Abstract

Adopting the 2030 Agenda as a reference framework for multiannual strategic planning and following the recommendations given by the WHO, through the actions of the Encouraging Active Participation Mission of its Culture Goal, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo developed the Well Impact programme to deepen the synergy between Culture and Health using multiple tools: position papers, mappings, grants. The multidisciplinary approach, further enabled by a strategic collaboration with the CCW - Cultural Welfare Center, also led to the establishment of the CWLAB, an internal three-year experimental laboratory in which four pilot projects were developed. The purpose of the counterfactual evaluations was to demonstrate (or not) the causal link between cultural experiences and improvements in the well-being of citizens. In order to proceed from experimentation to policy, it is essential to seize opportunities on an international scale, involve local authorities and enhance existing resources by facilitating their connections
