Abstract

This article is a first contribution to Flavia Franzoni’s intellectual biography, focusing on some insights of her professional journey. The analysis uses mainly grey literature, starting from F.F.’s rich online lecture on «Living Stories» research, given a few days before her death. Making explicit her own intellectual genealogy, Franzoni analyses the organisational culture of social policy in Bologna during the period 1978-2000. Belonging to a different community of interpretation, the author describes her own convergences and divergences with F.F.’s thought through a dialogical approach to feminist epistemology, in order to shed light on some aspects of the Italian debate on welfare policy.
