Abstract

In this essay we will discuss how a category multidimensional like integration can be used to analyse the ongoing transformations in contemporary local welfare. We will use theoretical reflections and empirical materials on the three dimensions of classical sociology. Then we will begin with macro dimension (the dynamics present in contemporary welfare in national frame) and then we explore some considerations about meso, or organizational, types, focusing on new roles in local welfare. Finally we will concentrate our attention to interaction between operators in certain local experiences, with attention to the dynamics of recognition, or non-recognition, among the social actors, and how they practice a sort of trespassing, as operators' response to organisational rigidity.
