Abstract
The relationship that educational institutions maintain with migrant parents seems to reproduce a weakening of the role of the latter, starting from theories and representations that institutions themselves assume more or less consciously within their work practices. Two empirical research experiences have provided an opportunity to explore this relationship, both from the point of view of institutions and from parents, and to reflect on the operational implications in the work with second generation immigrants.
