Abstract
The paper presents the results of a survey (commissioned by the Italian Ngo Save the Children to Iress, Institute for research and training on welfare policies) on the consequences that the earthquake, which took place in Emilia in May 2012, had on children's and young people's rights. Three themes are explored: times and procedure for the academic year's launch, offer of extracurricular activities as well as leisure and recreational opportunities, modalities of coexistence in the camps. For each topic both quantitative data and reflections are given, in particular on the choices of local administrators and of social services workers.
