Abstract
The article discusses the issue of violence against women by analysing the forms of domination and subjugation that reproduce the violent dynamics of men against women. The article discusses some issues that several theories interpret as the humus in which violence against women is produced and reproduced. It means to highlight gender inequality and the socialization process which in turn builds gender identity and reproduces inequality and discrimination. In the last paragraph two field researches are analysed in order to highlight the dynamics of reproduction and social change.
