Abstract

The essay investigates the main effects of the policies named «system of active social inclusion» (Sia) against the poverty in Tuscany. The evaluation was made using a partecipatory approach in a period of changes of the national legislational framework characterized by the introduction of a new measure against the poverty called «inclusion Income» (Rei): an holistic measure of income support that will replace Sia. In particular, after a brief analysis about poverty and its transformations in the last years, the essay shows the main results of the application of this policy and its methodological framework (strictly linking local strategies to structural factors), trying to figurate the possible future's scenarios.
