Abstract

In this article, we share our experience of creating and developing an online counselling intervention during the Covid-19 pandemic aimed to new parents during pregnancy and the first two years of infant’s life. The Parent Time intervention based on a psychodynamic and mentalizing approach was aimed at strengthening how parents interact with their child and keep the baby in mind. All the parents involved showed satisfaction for the intervention with the counselling sessions and with the online. The clinical findings suggest that Parent Time intervention may help parents to reduce the stress of being a parent and promote better well-being in critical situations as the Covid-19 pandemic
