Abstract
In the last few years models more and more complex have been elaborated to link different motivational and strategic aspects of learning. Many of these models considered the fundamental role of attributional style and its relationships with both learning motivation and strategic approaches. Present review describes some important and frequent attributional styles and stress the specific relationships between attributional style, learning motivation, and strategic approach. Besides, suggestions are given, supported by empirical data, on the best way to modify attributional styles and strategic approaches which are not very functional to learning.
