Abstract
In the present research we wanted to study the writing skills of children with attention problems. 24 children of 6th and 7th grade, considered by their teachers as showing ADHD symptoms, and matched controls were tested in two writing tasks: a dictation and a writing speed task. Results showed that children with attention problems made more errors than controls in particular with geminates and accents. Probably attention problems can delay the learning of the last grammatical rules. On the contrary the two groups did not differ for the writing speed. We can conclude that the difference in writing skills don't depend on the executive aspect of writing.
