Abstract
Aim of this study was to assess child's play behaviours during the Strange Situation Procedure. More specifically the purpose of this study was to analyse play and interactive patterns showed by mother-child and father-child couples and explorative behaviours and play carried out by children with secure and insecure attachment with their parents. Forty children (18 males and 22 females; 12-22 month-olds) with their parents served as subjects in the study. Results showed a significant differences between mother-child interaction and father-child interaction during play and also significant differences based on infant attachment patterns concerning to range of play.
