Abstract
The purpose of this study is to compare the Self Reflective Function Scale and the Adult Attachment Interview in respect to their capacity to predict the attachment pattern of the infant. The Adult Attachment Interview has been administered to a sample of 38 mothers (age between 26 and 33 years) and the transcripts have been classified by two independent judges. Results showed that Self Reflective Function Scale predictability on infant's attachment security has been confirmed. Secure infant mothers' ratings on the Reflective Function Scale are significantly higher in comparison with those of both the disorganized and avoidant infant mothers' and the total amount of insecure infant mothers.
