Abstract

The review considers the late studies, in different perspectives as the attachment and psychoanalytic theory, the interactional and neurobiological research, that analyse the infant shapes of regulation and affective comunication in early child/parent or caregiver relationships. Moreover it examines the role of parent as transformer and regulator of infant emotions, amplifying the concept of parental responsiveness. In the end it is discussed the importance of affective exchanges between parents and child in building the initial core of infant personality and also the impact of this new perspective in clinical field.
