Abstract
The present research has allowed us to analyze the Executive Functions (EF) on a sample of 110 youngsters aged between 8 and 13 who present characteristic features of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), SLD (Specific Learning Disorder), ODD (Oppositional-Defiant Disorder) and 77 young participants with typical development. A new battery of tests was administered for the assessment of the Executive Functions and a questionnaire filled out by teachers and parents. The results allowed to highlight specific deficits in the three clinical groups, both in the cool (cognitive) and hot (emotional-motivational) EF; moreover, the results obtained with the tests are moderately correlated with those obtained through questionnaires.
