Abstract
Injuries are among the main problems regarding workers' health. This literature review shows and discusses the results of the studies examining the psycho-social antecedents of risk behaviours and/or work related injuries as a consequence of security rules' violations. In particular, the review analyses the effects caused by safety climate, individual attitudes, risk perception, past experience of injuries, control perception, locus of control and workers' training. The conceptual and methodological limits of studies arediscussed and the open questions are identified.
