Abstract
This contribution wants: a) to adapt the Interruption coding system (ICS) to the Italian culture and language, and, particularly, to political interviews; b) to provide for each category of the system the definition and two Italian examples; c) to provide a binary flowchart, organized in yes/no questions, able to unambiguously identify the interruptions; d) to establish the observer reliability in two samples of video and audio-recordings from the 2006's and 2008's pre-electoral campaign of the Italian general elections. Results provide high coefficients of observer agreement.
