Abstract
The organizational citizenship behaviors for safety (SCB) is an important emerging participation factor in working groups. The contribution is aimed at studying some predictors of this dimension in the light of a current of research that distinguishes between pro-social vs. proactive forms of organizational citizenship. The effect of the following variables is considered: organizational support for safety, team safety climate, proactive role orientation towards security and affective commitment. The research was conducted in a chemical plant (N = 298). Prosocial SCB is related to dimensions of organizational membership (af248 Matteo Curcuruto, Dina Guglielmi e Marco Giovanni Mariani fective commitment). Challenging SCB shows relations with the subjective organizational role-definition process.
