Abstract
The aim of this essay is to verify whether the principles established at an international and supranational level to make lobbying as democratic as possible have been respected by those EU Member States which have adopted an organic discipline of the lobbying phenomenon. The analysis of these legislations is interesting because the regulation of lobbying has now become one of the parameters for respecting and strengthening the Rule of Law in the European Union. The (formal) similarities and (substantial) divergences found between the legal systems analysed, through a comparative approach, lead to the affirmation that the implementation of the above principles is not yet satisfactory
