Abstract
The article deals with the relationships between legal comparison and classifications, taxonomies and typologies. Starting from the reflections developed by Husserl in his book "The Crisis of European Sciences and Transcendental Philosophy", the author discusses the idea of scientific research, its connection with the life-world, and the consequences of Husserl's approach for the methodologies of social sciences. In this context, the article discusses the role of classifications within comparative research by focusing on the methodological problems that arise from it.
