Abstract

In 1993, director Gabriella Rosaleva wrote a screenplay entitled Una sera dopo cena, inspired by the well-known crime case involving the Graneris family in 1975. The film, which was never made, was supposed to be the director’s first attempt to interact with the noir genre, which otherwise had seemed distant from her. The present essay, thanks also to the recent discovery of some documents related to the project, tries to investigate the process of the story construction and the way through which it dialogues with the rest of the author’s filmography
