«Modern for Technology, Ancient for Humanity». The Audiovideo Magazine of the National Union of Specialized Film and Television Industries
Abstract
This essay deals with the birth of the magazine Audiovideo in 1972, a publication belonging to ANICA’s National Union of Specialized Film and Television Industries. In this publication, it is possible to find insights on technical (and technological) issues, but also investigations if the state of marginal filmmaking, such as industrial cinema. More specifically, I highlight the epistemic framework in which this publication is placed, pinpointing its relationships with the technological evolutions of the period. Through the description and analysis of the first issues of the journal, it is possible not only to identify its topics but also its enunciational configurations
