Abstract
Isabella Rossellini has always moved in the celebrity scene by claiming a strong authorship in the construction of her star persona, also understood as a form of self-determination. A feminist activist in the 1970s, she has always used her voice and her image to tell her story and draw a profile of herself, with an extraordinary ability to cross boundaries (actress/model, public/private, authenticity/performance, reality/fiction) and to skillfully exploit different media and technologies, between analog and digital. Thus, in each of her presentations, from the first autobiographical book Some of me to the welcome trailer of her youtube channel, to the most recent activity on Instagram, the definition of her identity returns multiple narratives and images, always reflected through the powerful lens of (auto)irony, used as a deconstructive and liberating element
