Abstract
The essay retraces the production and reception vicissitudes of Alessandro Blasetti's "Europa di notte" (1959), a mondo movie that adopted the structure of revue shows - familiar to Italian viewers at the time - in order to decrease the degree of tantalization of its erotic contents. More precisely, by employing the concept of relocation in an extensive acceptation, it demonstrates how this feature film marked a substantial change in the viewing experience of Italian audiences in those years. In order to do so, the author made extensive use of the documentation preserved at the Cineteca di Bologna, within the Blasetti collection.
