Abstract

The commented translation of Aristotle's "Metaphysics" edited by Enrico Berti presents significant innovations with respect to the traditional image of this work, both from a philosophical point of view (interpreting it not as a theology but as a development of the research on the first causes of being begun with the "Physics"), and from a textual perspective (where the priority is given to the "alpha" manuscripts family). Berti closely follows the Greek text, without proposing paraphrastic versions and by also respecting the technical form of many Aristotelian neologisms.
