Abstract

The object of this paper is the genesis of “formal indicationµ from the heideggerian criticism to some aspects of Husserl’s phenomenology. In the first part, we demonstrate how formal indication is required by the main theme of first Heidegger’s philosophy, i.e. the historicity of factical life. Indeed, the problem of Heidegger is to find a Begriffsbildung adequate to the incomplete and self-projectual character of facticity. In the second part, we firstly show the way in which Heidegger opposes the formal indication to the theoretical processes of formalization and generalization of Husserl’s phenomenology, and then the difference between the heideggerian and husserlian theory of Anzeigen. Finally, we enlight the different modes in which Husserl and Heidegger discuss the element of Fragen: for Husserl, Fragen is an impediment that must cease in the answer, for Heidegger is the only anti-theoretical approach of thought coherent with Dasein’s historicity.
