Abstract
Hegel’s references to the notion of habit are apparently quite rare in his works. In spite of this, I argue that habit is a fundamental concept, especially in the ethical and political fields. In my article I also argue that the notion of ‘second nature’ is a problematic concept because it harks back to the notion of ‘first nature’. The purpose of the article is precisely to demonstrate that there is no ‘universal human nature’ in the Hegel’s thought.
