Abstract
Russian approach to the information and cyber security issues is almost neglected in the western research literature, although Russia is one of the leading powers in the global information sphere and an active player in the international negotiations on the topic. This paper is devoted to the analysis of Russian approach to the international cooperation in the field of information security. Russian academic literature devoted to the information and cybersecurity is analyzed from the standpoint of the Copenhagen school securitization theory as well as official approach to the international information security and cooperation in this area. Perspectives of the international information security regime formation are researched from the James Fearon theory of international negotiations and bargaining.
