Abstract

In this paper it is considered a set of thirteen inscriptions from Hispania dedicated to divinities, often qualified with the epithet Augustus/-a, honoring the memory of particular individuals. Only those inscriptions that use the formula in/ob memoriam or in honorem et memoriam have been selected, leaving aside those inscriptions in which only in/ob honorem is indicated. Their analysis allows us to discern whether it is possible to relate them to a consecratio in formam deorum or not, but above all that the use of this type of formula does not imply that they are funerary inscriptions, but tituli sacri
