Abstract

The paper retraces the academic career of Ernesto Giacomo Parodi by way of his as-yet-unpublished epistolary exchanges with the most illustrious scholars of his time, with whom he maintained a relation of collaboration and friendship. However, such a relation revealed several moments of tension and hostility, because of the temperamental nature of this scholar. Among the correspondents, it is noteworthy to mention Pio Rajna, Ernesto Monaci, Alessandro D’Ancona, Vittorio Rossi, Graziadio Isaia Ascoli, Francesco D’Ovidio.
