Abstract
The essay analyses the uses by Gianfranco Contini of the category of lectio difficilior applied to textual reconstruction. After retracing and summarising Contini’s theoretical positions, especially in connection with the concept of "diffraction", with their potential problems, their application in the Poeti del Duecento, both applied to multitextual or monotxtual tradition, is verified.
