Abstract

The contribution, which is part of the PRIN 2017 project AtLiTeG (Atlante della lingua e dei testi della cultura gastronomica italiana dall’età medievale all’Unità), takes the start from the editing of the entry mortadella for VoSLIG (Vocabolario Storico della Lingua Italiana della Gastronomia) and intends to reconstruct the history and geography of the word mortadella and investigate its meanings over the centuries through the documentation provided by the AtLiTeG corpus, to update and enrich what has been offered so far in the scholarly literature
