Abstract
This paper analyzes two Florentine vernacular lists of renders due to the abbey of San Salvatore and San Lorenzo a Settimo (Florence), which have been hitherto unknown to historical-linguistic studies. Their historical context, enlightened by Latin documentation, and the analysis of their writing and language allow us to date the lists to the first half of the 1250s at the latest
