Abstract

Based on the punctual comparison of their specific data, in the article the hypothesis is advanced that the noble Roman senator Lucius Volusio Saturnino (consul in 3 AD) is the historical figure who inspired the legendary character of Volusiano present in the "Cura sanitatis Tiberii".
