Abstract

Starting from the literary experience of Guido da Verona, a popular and controversial novelist of the early twentieth century who has been re-read variously in recent years, the essay illustrates for the first time his proposals concerning the application of Einstein’s theory of general relativity in the field of criticism, literature, art in general. These proposals can be found in his handwritten autographs, still unpublished today, which were recovered in the writer’s archive in the Centro Apice in Milan. These documents testify that Guido da Verona was not only a passionate interpreter of the entertainment literature of his time, but also an expert in the dynamics of book production and consumption, to whom he often reserved appropriate reflections
