Abstract
The essay summarizes the conclusions about the diachronic arrangement of Sannazaro’s “canzoniereµ, from the germinal shapings dating back to the Nineties of XV century to the wider structure received by the posthumous (a few months) editio princeps, the Sonetti et canzoni published in Naples in November 1530. The essay also lists the compositional steps and the irradiation centres of sannazarian “canzoniereµ and, moreover, some results of the tradition which lead to discern an integrated structure within the princeps, altough probably unfinished, perhaps due to the author’s death. Finally the essay draws attention to the autorithy of the princeps in respect of canon, order of texts and linguistic facies and emphasizes as well the consequent option of placing its testimony as the foundation of the critical edition. At the same time the essay remarks on the need for a clear editorial rendering of the corrections made more bembesco by the editors of the posthumous Neapolitan princeps
