Abstract
The essay illustrates the memory of Boccaccio’s Filostrato and Teseida in the love conferences of Orlando furioso (Ruggiero and Alcina; Ricciardetto and Fiordispina; Doralice and Mandricardo). The textual comparison enriches the intertextual score of the Furioso and highlights both the characteristics of Arioste’s physiognomy and the importance of Boccaccio as an undisputed auctoritas erotica and of interior introspections.
