Abstract
The article, by evaluating the structure, the sources and the cultural context of the composition of the text, examines the misogynistic treatise Vera narratione dell’operationi delle donne (1588), attributed to the unknown Onofrio Filiriaco and preserved, in the only printed copy known to date, in the miscellany entitled Varia de mulieribus at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France
