Abstract
In light of the hypothesis advanced in recent years by Geneviève Espagne on the circulation of ideas between Paris and Weimar regarding Manzoni and Milanese romanticism, it reconstructs the relationship between Johann Wolfgang Goethe and the Milanese writer.
