Abstract
The article examines the essays that the "Italian literature" published by Einaudi devotes to the region in the series of volumes titled "History and Geography", subjecting them to a critical analysis and enhancing their cultural and historical horizon with many references to other works of Venetian literary historiography, as well as to the general model of history and geography developed by Asor Rosa and Dionisotti. In the last part of the contribution the author alights on the "Atlas of Italian literature", recently published by the same publishing house, with critical observations both on the essays dedicated to Venetian topics and on the historical perspective chosen by the Atlas responsibles to reread Italian literary tradition.
