Abstract
Boethius "De consolatione Philosophiae" was a very important book for Dante. He referred to that book and to his medieval commentaries in order to read the myth of Orpheus and Euridice from a christian point of view. This helped him to write the story of his love and his journey to Beatrix as a new Orpheu's otherwordly journey.
