Abstract

The Anglo-Spanish lexicography of the 18th century is a subject of study that has aroused interest in linguistic and metalexicographic historiography in recent years; In this research, four authors are presented: J. Stevens, P. Pineda, G. Delpino and G. Baretti, in which we have attempted to clarify the real contribution of the different sources, both indicated and omitted, both metalinguistic, linguistic or textual. It is also intended to highlight other textual issues that are left only outlined and that would deserve greater attention, such as the different editions or reprints of the works and the relative changes in their titles
