Abstract

arabic for Specific Purposes (ASP) has received some attention internationally, though it remains underexplored in Italy. This gap affects both the description of ASP and its impact on teaching Arabic as a foreign language at the university level. To address this, the current study focuses on legal Arabic, providing a descriptive analysis of key features relevant to pedagogy. The case study examines transcripts of police and medical reports following a fatal traffic accident, offering a foundation for discussing the teaching of legal Arabic in academic settings.
