Abstract

Tackling with different literary genres and assuming a diachronic perspective, the author tries to draft the representation of "conjugal love" in Islamic societies. The main point of interest is, on one side, the transversality of certain anthropological elements, and, on the other side, some quite unexpected (for western public, of course) women's point of view on "traditional" - i. e. polygamic - marriage.
