Abstract
As with several other construals in the cognitive sciences, frames can be used in a meta-analytical perspective to analyse and reformulate the causes and effects of mechanisms affecting methods of inquiry in human and social sciences. A pre-survey administered before a seminar in queer studies at the University for Foreigners of Siena is used as a case study. The paper shows how conceptual frames, derived from topics connected to the seminar and highly ranked in the agendas of politics, media, and public opinion, triggered consistent reactions to the stimuli in two of the four major items of the questionnaire.
