Abstract
A visit to the Shuijingfang Museum in Chengdu (Sichuan, China) reveals the existence of a truly living museum. Ye museological exhibition of an ancient distillery coexists with the continuation of production according to cra[ procedures. From the proposition of successful forms of historical re-enactment of the gestures of the past, we pass to their true and actual reproduction. It is a beautiful challenge, which Italian culture is able to collect.
