Abstract
The article reconstructs the stages of the alliance that took place between the Chilean regime and the main organizations of Italian neo-fascism. The collaboration began with the assassination attempt on Bernardo Leighton in Rome in 1975 and ended in 1978, shortly after the disbanding of the Dirección de Inteligencia Nacional. Despite appearances, the partnership was characterized by weak ties and was instrumental in serving the political needs Chile had during that particular time frame.
